Short Body Absolute Encoder

Designed for a demanding military project where space was at a premium , this 14 bit absolute encoder has an axial length constrained only by the customers preferred connector size.

The Series 24HA encoder was designed to provide a range of Absolute encoders capable of withstanding high shock and vibration level environments. The short body variant 24HA-191 was developed in response to a customer request for a 14bit gray output from an encoder which could be shoehorned into the restricted space in a trunion system used for gun elevation.
The 24HA (both standard and short body version) can be supplied in the following formats :

8 , 10 , 12 , 13 and 14 bit gray or pure binary parallel outputs.

Differential line driver type 26LS31 output (meets requirement of EIA Standard RS422).

Input Voltage 5V at 400mA max.

The encoder comes as standard with a 6.342mm diam shaft ,
4 x M5 clearance fixing holes pitched at 52.7mm ,
a 31.75mm diam spigot and an Amphenol bayonet lock
type 62GB-12E-14-19P connector.

Alternative shafts , mounting arrangements including servo grooves and electrical interfaces are readily available.
