Thistle Design Embark on Second Lean Initiative
Thistle Design have been selected to participate in a new Supply Chain Group initiative based on Through Life Support of the Thales Optronics' BGTI programme.
The new project is scheduled to last 12 months and will involve Thistle Design analysing current repair and rework processes using Lean techniques.
Through Life Support for BGTI is a 15 year programme aimed at maintaining Thales Optronics equipment containing Thistle Design sensors and encoders in optimum working condition at all times. The programme has been given UK Pilot Status by the UK Engineering Excellence Board.
The initiative requires the participating companies to nominate a Change Agent and a Champion. Thistle Design have selected Gordon Stewart who is responsible for the BGTI repair program as the Change Agent and Managing Director Bob Frew as the Champion.
This new initiative follows the successful conclusion of the
