Automatic Test Equipment

To minimise down time during scheduled plant maintainence this test equipment was designed to allow checking and calibration of cams , limit switches , potentiometers , incremental and absolute encoders.


The test equipment drives a three phase motor which rotates the main element in a gas circulation system. As it rotates , all relevant sensor information for measurement and control functions is collected , displayed and referenced against specific tolerance values. A unique feature of the equipment is the use of an integral torque sensor to allow the setting of electrical trip and overload safety levels. The unit also features a sequential code checking system to fully characterise an absolute encoder used in the control loop.The test equipment has allowed our customer to radically reduce plant downtime from three days to a matter of hours.
