30HI Incremental Encoder
This encoder uses marine quality Stainless Steel and a novel sealing configuration to improve dramatically it's corrosion resistance and reliability when used in above deck naval applications.
The Series 30HI encoder was originally developed to solve a specific problem for a customer who installs measurement equipment for the Royal Navy. Previous encoder types from a variety of manufacturers suffered badly from a combination of corrosion and ingress of seawater due to the exposed location of the equipment.
New design features include a novel body sealing configuration which together with improved material selection has proved a great success in an extremely demanding environment.
The 30HI can be supplied in the following formats :
Counts : 10 to 5000 PPR
2 Channel Quadrature output ,
¼ and ½ cycle marker options ,
complementary outputs available all signals.
CMOS line driver type 8830 , 88C30 , 26LS31.
Input Voltage 5V , 12V , 5V to 15V at 150mA max.
The encoder comes as standard with a 9.525mm diam shaft ,
4 x M5 fixing holes pitched at 41.91mm and 5m flying leads.
Alternative shafts , mounting arrangements and electrical interfaces are readily available
